WFM Petra Kejžar

Hello! My name is Petra Kejžar, and I come from Slovenia. Right now I live in Zagreb, Croatia. I love chess, but I also like hiking, reading (especially Harry Potter) and spending time with my friends. Apart from chess lessons, I am also a chess arbiter and I also play chess actively.

I started playing chess at the end of primary school because my brothers inspired me to play. I fell in love with the game and have been playing actively since then. I have participated in many national and international tournaments. In 2022, I won the National Women's Championship of Slovenia.

About seven years ago, I decided to try my hand at being a chess coach, as I also have a pedagogical education. During the 2018/19 year, I worked at the Dubai Chess and Culture Club. After that, I transitioned to online coaching. My students have varied in age and skill level, ranging from beginners to rated players (up to 1850).

I specialized in educational studies during my academic pursuits.

I prefere more positional play, although I like to attack as well given the possibility.

My lessons are structured and adapted to each student's level of skill, playing style and their goals.
